嘉明湖被譽為「天使的眼淚」，海拔3310公尺，是台灣第二高的高山湖泊。 而戒茂斯路線，則被許多山友認為是最能感受嘉明湖魅力的經典路線之一。
Jiaming Lake, known as the "Angel's Tear," sits at 3,310 meters above sea level and is Taiwan's second-highest alpine lake. The Kaimusu Route is widely regarded as one of the most scenic and rewarding approaches to the lake.
不同於向陽山屋路線，戒茂斯路線沒有山屋、沒有公路延伸，而是沿著布農族傳統獵徑深入中央山脈。 穿越原始森林、溪谷營地與遼闊草原，一步步走向那座靜靜映照天空的高山湖泊。
Unlike the traditional Xiangyang route, the Kaimusu Route follows ancient Bunun hunting trails deep into Taiwan's Central Mountain Range, crossing forests, river valleys and alpine meadows before reaching the legendary lake.

戒茂斯與嘉明湖的故事｜The Story of Kaimusu & Jiaming Lake
戒茂斯（Kaimusu）在布農語中意為「山胡椒」，曾是布農族重要的採集與狩獵區域。 沿著這條古老獵徑前進，不只是登山，更是一場走入部落文化與中央山脈歷史的旅程。
Kaimusu means "Mountain Pepper" in the Bunun language and was historically an important hunting and gathering area. Walking this trail is not only a mountain adventure, but also a journey into the cultural history of Taiwan's indigenous highlands.
嘉明湖則被布農族稱為「月亮的鏡子」，靜靜躺臥在海拔三千公尺以上的高山盆地中， 映照著天空、群山與歲月流轉。
Jiaming Lake is known among the Bunun people as the "Mirror of the Moon," reflecting the sky and surrounding peaks high above the clouds.
