10:00 Alishan Forest Recreation Area
11:00 Start hiking to Mianyuexian railway
14:00 Arrive campsite and prepare for dinner

06:30 Hike light on the abandoned railway to Shihou Station

14:00 Back to campsite and pack

【Cost related】
1. Traffic:
Chiayi Railway Station to Alishan shuttle van.
2. Meals (meals will be provided by the other company, and vegetarian food can be provided)

3. Accommodation:
2 person tents by gender.
4. Others:
Hiking guide, hiking insurance, shuttle passenger insurance, applications for hiking permits.
5. Prepare by yourself:
2-day lunches and snacks, sleeping bag, sleeping pad
6. We charge applying the permit lottery for NT$100 per person each time if not won.
The permit lottery is 30 days before trip, so please sigh up at least 45 days in advance.
Gears you need to bring:
1. Backpack（45 - 60L, rental cost $500）
2. Rain cover for backpack
3. Summit pack(15-20L)
4. Trekking poles (rental cost $150)
5. Headlamp with extra batteries (rental cost $150)
6. Sleeping pad (rental cost $100)
7. Sleeping bag (rental cost $250)
Clothing:
1. Quick drying base-layer
2. Mid-layer for insulation, fleece or down.
3. Water-proof jacket (Gore-tex or similar product)
4. Rain pants
5. Quick drying pants (No jeans)
6. Hiking shoes or boots
7. Hats and beanie
8. Gloves
9. Backup dry clothes
Other stuffs:
1. Drinking water 1.5-2 liter and everyone have to carry 2 liters of water for dinner and breakfast since the campsite has no water nearby.

Notices:
1. All above items and gears should be under 12 kgs.
2. Do not leave the group without notice during the trip.
3. Safety first! The guide may order to retreat if anyone of the group is in risky situations.
